TRAINEE for the Department of Digital Humanities
About this role
The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master's programme.
We are now looking for two TRAINEES for the Department of Digital Humanities!
As a trainee, you will contribute to a research group's research and/or infrastructure activities while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment. The exact tasks will depend on your background and interests but may include, for example:
assisting with the preparation and organisation of research data and digital materials
supporting computational, technical, or experimental research workflows
helping coordinate data collection or other research activities
contributing to shared research resources, tools, or documentation
assisting with basic data processing or analysis
The position is intended as a learning opportunity, and responsibilities will be adapted to the trainee's skills and interests. You will gain experience with a variety of research methods and digital tools while working closely with researchers and other team members.
The duration of the traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee.
