Assignment Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Consultant to strengthen supplier quality processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with production, purchasing, and R&D teams to enhance product quality, supplier performance, and cost efficiency.

This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive professional who can effectively manage supplier relationships, implement corrective actions, and contribute to operational excellence across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with suppliers to communicate production or customer-related quality issues and ensure timely implementation of both immediate and long-term corrective actions
  • Evaluate and validate 8D reports, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective measures meet quality standards
  • Initiate and lead supplier-focused improvement programs targeting quality enhancement and cost optimization
  • Collaborate as an active team member in production and Supply Chain Management (SCM) projects
  • Support supplier performance evaluations and implement action plans to reduce defects (e.g., PPM reduction initiatives)
  • Conduct periodic and annual supplier audits in line with established quality standards
  • Work closely with internal departments including production, procurement, and R&D to improve the quality of purchased components and materials

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of motors, gears, and/or cable and harness systems
  • Experience with control plans and quality assurance methodologies
  • Experience Required:
