📌 Job Summary (External Description)

Software Engineer (Java) – Defence

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer to support a Defence-sector programme delivering secure, safety-critical software systems. You will contribute across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring solutions meet industry standards for reliability, safety, and security.

This role offers exposure to high-integrity systems and the opportunity to work within agile, multidisciplinary engineering teams.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain integrated Java software systems

Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Architects on high-level designs

Contribute to SCRUM ceremonies and sprint planning

Ensure compliance with configuration management and change control processes

Deliver clean, maintainable, and cost-effective code

Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
