About this role

The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master's programme.

We are looking for a TRAINEE for the European and Nordic studies master's programme and for the Centre for European Studies at the University of Helsinki.

The duration of a traineeship is from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €852 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee. Working hours are flexible, and you can decide them rather independently. You can also get 15 ECTS from this traineeship.

About the position

The selected trainee will work at the Centre for European Studies. The trainee will help the European and Nordic Studies (ENS) Programme director and CES Director with a variety of tasks related to the development, marketing and visibility of the Centre and ENS master's programme. The trainee will help with the practical arrangements for the ENS Excursion (planned for week 9/2027) and in marketing of the programme, in communications and the content production and updates of the webpages and social media accounts of both the ENS and the CES. Besides these duties, the trainee will also help the director and the staff members within CES with the organisation of the events, supporting the research and publication tasks.
