Position Summary:
This position will set up, tear down, and operate the stuffing equipment, Frank-o-Matic’s, and any other equipment used in the area. The position is responsible for assisting with various tasks related to hanging and weighing to keep production lines running at maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform necessary counts, weights, measures, and record statistics.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
- Learn and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain general manufacturing practices.
- Report and record product specifications.
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
- Ability and willingness to read and comprehend all required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work.
- Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
- Physical Requirements:
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
- Preferred Skills:
- Machine Operator experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- RF Scanner experience preferred
