Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer

to join Normets Technology organizations Validation & Release Management team in Tampere, Finland. The teamis responsible for verification and validation of Product Development deliveries, functional safety verifications, and cybersecurity documentation.

In this position,you will participate in control system verification and validation by defining and implementing test cases, testing systems in virtual test environments as well as on real machines. Developing test automation and test infrastructure is also an essential part of the job.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Plan, design, and execute software test cases for embedded control systems

Develop and maintain automated tests using Python and Robot Framework

Contribute to CI/CD-integrated testing and verification workflows

Perform integration testing with CAN bus-based systems and embedded software

Collaborate with development teams to improve test coverage, quality practices, and defect resolution

Participate in testing activities on real machines in factory or mining environments

Document findings, test results, and quality improvements clearly and systematically

To shine in this position, we hope you have:

Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Science (Technology) in relevant field

Strong understanding of CAN bus-based embedded control systems

Solid knowledge of modern software testing methods, tools, and QA practices

Experience in developing structured test cases and test automation

Proven hands-on experience with Git, Python, and Robot Framework as part of software testing or QA workflows

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA integrates into them

Ability to work safely with real machines in both factory and mining environments

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
