To strengthen our photon counting division, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work either in Danderyd, Sweden or Espoo, Finland to work at the forefront of this advanced X-ray technology. In this role you will be a key player within our R&D organization and will take an active part in shaping our future products and technical solutions.
Your Role in Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with the development of our next-generation X-ray detectors - from requirements definition all the way to production handover and through to sustaining engineering. We are looking for an adaptive engineer who thrives at the center of complex cross-functional programs, collaborating closely with electronics, systems, manufacturing, and product teams, and effectively balancing performance, cost, schedule, and manufacturability. This is a full-time role offered in a hybrid format, which means few days' office presence.
Your role will include:Own the mechanical architecture and detailed design of our X-ray detectors
Design manufacturing jigs & fixtures for in-house production teams
Create and maintain CAD models, detailed drawings and BOMs in Solidworks; manage mechanical documentation throughout release and ECO processes
Collaborate closely with electronics, firmware, system, manufacturing, product, and program management teams
Work closely with procurement team to identify, assess, and qualify suppliers
