We are now looking for a Production Planning Summer Trainee

to join our production team at KONE Elevator Factory in Hyvinkää, Finland.

The Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that ensure efficient use of capacity, materials, and resources. The role involves coordinating with multiple functions to meet delivery commitments, optimizing production flow, and supporting continuous improvement across operations. The Production Planner plays a key part in balancing demand, supply, and manufacturing capability

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules
  • Ensure optimal utilization of production capacity, workforce, and materials
  • Prioritize production orders based on delivery commitments, workload, and resource availability
  • Adjust plans proactively in response to changes, disruptions, or urgent customer needs
  • Collaborate actively with production, material management and supply management
  • We are looking for students with
  • Fluent Finnish and English, written and verbal
  • 1-3 years of studies, preferably in the technical or commercial field
  • Interest in understanding how industrial organizations and teams work
  • Interest in working in a global and multicultural organization and teams
  • Independent working style and drive for results
  • Commitment to customers' success in everything one does
  • Desire to collaborate cross-teams and co-create with colleagues
