The purpose of the role is to
Scale KONE's Modernization business by building industry-leading offerings for KONE & Non-KONE Equipment. The role exists to unlock new growth, capture competitive displacement, and materially expand KONE's modernization addressable market by creating modular, digital, and cost-competitive offerings that allow KONE to win beyond its installed base while delivering profitable, repeatable, and scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global modernization (MOD)offering strategy, with focus on:Non-KONE equipment outside current service coverage (partial modernization)
- KONE installed base with extended lifecycle opportunities (MR, MRL, high-rise, escalators)
- Phased, modular, and digitally enabled modernization pathways
- Design disruptive propositions that remove barriers to entry, including:Modular and staged modernization concepts
- Fast-install, short-cycle solutions
- Digital-first, connectivity-led entry offerings
- Cost-competitive, simplified engineering approaches
- Lead development of globally scalable offerings adaptable to local market needsBalance standardization with flexibility across Areas and Front Line
- Drive commercial adoption at scale in partnership with Sales, Service, and Operations
- Own competitive positioning, including win/loss intelligence for non-serviced units
- Translate market insights into rapid iteration and evolution of offerings
- Partner with Service, R&D, Supply Line, and Operations to embed: connectivity, data, digital services as core value drivers (not add-
