Business Continuity Manager
BP's Intelligence, Security and Crisis Management (ISC) function delivers geopolitical insight and intelligence, crisis preparedness and emergency response support and security protection to bp.
As a Business Continuity Manager, you will play a critical role in developing bp’s resilience capability. You will contribute to multiple Initiatives across bp, mitigating risk, improving business continuity and managing crisis situations.
You will possess extensive experience in crisis and business continuity management and understand operational resilience. You can demonstrate proven success in multifaceted environments, and show critical thinking, flexibility in approach, innovation and agility in performing complex initiatives.
In this role You will:
Develop and maintain operations teams’ business impact assessments and procedures, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders as required
Ensure operations teams and crisis teams remain conformant with relevant regulatory and company standards for resilience
Maintain the operations team’s crisis response capability in Hungary, including leading the delivery of training
Provide crisis management support to the operations teams Hungary leadership team and response teams during a disruption
Support the development and delivery of operational resilience / business continuity management activity for bp's central finance teams
Supports the operational resilience team in the development of digital and non-digital tools, mentorship and standards
Deploy into finance / technology teams to support crisis response if required
Collaborate across bp entities to promote an integrated approach to delivery of value for BP.
What You will need to be successful:
University / college degree or relevant qualifications in the field of crisis management / emergency management / business continuity management
Extensive experience of implementing crisis management and business continuity programs and knowledge of relevant industry standards
Experience in implementing business continuity programs in a variety of contexts or industries and an understanding of operational resilience
Consistent record of advising, influencing and facilitating discussions, meetings and training for a variety of audiences
Experience of participating and advising response teams and delivering exercises
Experience in preparing concise communications, plans or reports
Must have excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role.
Desirable Criteria:
Proven record of working in high pressured situations with the ability to prioritize work when faced with multiple requirements, and the ability to proactively progress issues when only partial information is available
Understanding of digital operational resilience and cyber risk
Understanding of the energy industry, product flows and finance operations
Ability to perform to a high standard with minimal direction
Membership of a technical or professional body for business continuity or operational resilience
