Role Description

As a Platform Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring robust and competitive designs that deliver high quality and cost efficiency. You act as a central point of contact for platform-related topics, coordinating across functions and driving issues and improvements from start to completion.

Your responsibilities include:

Lead, drive, and coordinate cross-functional work to ensure progress in quality and cost improvement activities for assigned platforms

Establish and maintain a holistic overview of quality and cost performance for the platforms and communicate status to relevant stakeholders

Define platform strategies, prioritize and initiate activities to meet agreed targets

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, global purchasing, manufacturing units and external suppliers

Ensure robust technical documentation and lead engineering work from concept to implementation

Leverage central resources such as materials laboratories, verification laboratories, prototype workshops, and CAE capabilities
