Responsibilities

  • The HSE Specialist will serve as a critical link between strategic safety objectives and operational execution across our French Logistics Hubs. You will be responsible for fostering a robust safety culture, ensuring strict compliance with French labor laws, and maintaining high safety standards within both our physical facilities and our last-mile delivery operations. This role requires a proactive professional who can navigate complex regulatory landscapes while remaining deeply connected to the daily operations of a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • What you’ll do
  • Translate corporate HSE policies into actionable operational plans tailored for distribution centers and delivery hubs.
  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments (DUERP), conduct internal audits, and perform deep dive incident investigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all sites adhere to the French work (Code du Travail) and environmental regulations. Maintain a high level of visibility on the shopfloor, conduct workplace inspections and coach operational leads on hazard identification.
  • Utilize process management methodologies to optimize safety workflows and elevate the organization’s safety maturity level.
  • Guide teams through organizational shifts, ensuring HSE standards remain a top priority during periods of growth or transition.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in HSE is a significant advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of French HSE legislation (Code du Travail), including specific requirements for logistics (e.g. CACES certifications, fire safety standards like ERP/ERT and ICPE regulations).
  • 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, ideally within a distribution center, warehouse or high-volume logistics environment.
  • Knowledge in ISO standards (ISO 45001, 14001) is an advantage.
  • A proven affinity for road safety and fleet management is essential, given the nature of our last-mile delivery operations.
  • Driver’s license
  • French and English speaker
  • Travel availability
  • Ability to advise and influence stakeholders at both management and operational levels.
  • A creative problem-solver who can balance strict legal obligations with the practical realities of a busy distribution center.
  • Skilled in scenario-based thinking, identifying "the big picture" to connect data into a safety strategy.
  • A team player who thrives on building cross-functional relationships to achieve shared safety goals.
