We are looking for a Quality Engineer – ConX Product Development for a global company in Gothenburg. Start ASAP, 12-month contract to begin with.

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to elevate software quality and delivery predictability within the ConX product area. This role is hands‑on and system‑level—far beyond coordination. You will own and drive quality outcomes across teams, suppliers, tooling, and ways of working (WoW), ensuring continuous improvement and reducing systemic risk across the product landscape.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working
  • Lead data‑driven quality improvements using the ConX Continuous Improvement WoW.
  • Identify, analyze, and drive improvement investigations.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional workgroups to actionable outcomes.
  • Improve test effectiveness, automation signal quality, and CI/CD feedback reliability.
  • Ensure findings enter and progress through the improvement backlog.
  • 2. Targeted Quality Assurance (TQA)
  • Address root causes of quality issues and structural gaps in testability, reliability, ownership, and technical debt.
  • Perform analysis using ConX’s TQA framework.
  • Break down issues into Root Cause Heatmaps and risk/gap clusters.
  • Document measures such as improved verification coverage, testability improvements, and ownership clarifications.
  • Define and support risk‑mitigation features in Jira.
  • 3. Software Quality KPI Implementation & Follow‑up
  • Ensure that SW Quality KPIs accurately reflect product health and customer impact.
  • Analyze KPI applicability across ConX product areas.
  • Define improvement actions and track KPI status.
  • Align KPI development closely with TQA outcomes.
  • 4. Gap & Risk Analysis
  • Expand quality analysis beyond formal TQA efforts.
  • Conduct fault‑clustering and defect‑pattern analysis in the codebase.
  • Identify code hotspots, code health improvement needs, and relevant metrics.
  • Detect ownership, process, or tooling gaps.
