Requirements

  • Experience in motor bodily injury/liability claims handing
  • A basic knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for this line of business
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Time management - ability to manage and prioritize workload and diary management.
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
  • A track record in building relationships with clients and brokers.
  • CIP qualification or equivalent a distinct advantage

About the role Handling a portfolio of EL, PL, Product liability and commercial motor fleet claims from notification to conclusion. Handling claims including appointing investigators and expert witnesses Instructing defence solicitors on litigated claims and attending court when required Working closely with brokers and AIG policyholders on the resolution of claims and provide a high level of customer service, including client review meetings Reserving accurately in line with AIG’s claims reserving philosophy Communicating with internal AIG stakeholders where required Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense
