I'm Laura Širvinskaitė and I'm currently looking for a

Senior GL Accountant

to join my team of professionals in Vilnius. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate and compliant financial and tax reporting.

What you’ll do:

Be responsible for the General Ledger accounting processes for Telia Global Services Lithuania, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Actively contribute to period‑end closing activities by preparing journal entries, various calculations and financial reports.

Prepare and submit tax declarations in line with Lithuanian legislation, ensuring full compliance, timeliness and accuracy.

Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring control over financial data.

Prepare local statutory and statistical reports required by Lithuanian authorities.

Actively participate in annual audits.

Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to increase efficiency and quality.

Collaborate closely with other business units and support various finance‑related projects.

What will help you thrive in this role:

A suitable candidate has strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You should be able to work and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations.

3+ years of experience in General Accounting.

Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation and accounting standards both IFRS and Local GAAP.

Hands‑on experience in General Ledger, tax accounting and period‑end closing processes.

Fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.

Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is considered an advantage.
