The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Electronic Fault Tracing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support for our Control & Protection units – the MACH platform. Your responsibilities include managing and investigating returns and performing fault tracing on circuit boards and electronic units within the GI MACH product scope.
This is a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of our technology used worldwide.
How You’ll Make an Impact
First-Line Support: Address and resolve issues related to MACH product returns.
Return Management: Investigate returns from testing, project sites, and internal customers.
Fault Tracing: Conduct detailed fault tracing on circuit boards and electronic units, collaborating with our design organization, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Case Administration: Document and manage all cases in our quality tools to ensure proper follow‑up.
Testing Expertise: Understand our internal and external test capabilities and know where different tests can be performed.
Technology Development: Identify and implement improvements, contributing to technical development and maintaining our strong global positioning.
Your Background
You have relevant education or work experience within electronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
You have hands‑on experience troubleshooting and working with electronic systems, and you feel confident handling advanced technical tasks.
You work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and consistently deliver high‑quality results.
You have strong analytical skills and approach problem‑solving in a structured way, while also collaborating effectively with others.
You can explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and you feel comfortable influencing decisions when needed.
