About this role
We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer to join our team in Zürich, supporting our Delivery team in deploying, customizing, and integrating Squirro’s AI and RAG platform for enterprise customers.
About the role
As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will work closely with enterprise customers to implement and adapt the Squirro platform to their data environments and business needs. You will bridge product, engineering, and customer teams to ensure successful deployments and high-value solutions.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their business challenges and data landscape.
- Solution Implementation: Deploy and configure Squirro's RAG and insights platform in client environments.
- Data Integration: Design and implement data integration pipelines to ingest data from various sources into the Squirro platform.
- Customization and Development: Develop custom components, integrations, and extensions to enhance the Squirro platform and meet specific client needs.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to clients on how to use the Squirro platform effectively.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Squirro's product, engineering, and sales teams to ensure successful deployments and continuous product improvement.
- KG, AI and LLM Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Knowledge Graphs (KGs), Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI in general to customize Squirro's platform to enhance chat functionalities and improve the relevance and accuracy of search results.
- Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a solutions engineer or consultant.
- Excellent (English) communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and software development methodologies.
- Ability to work independently on SCRUM (Agile projects) and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with LLMs and Agentic AI
- Experience with Linux OS.
- Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data integration principles and technologies.
- Experience with search technologies, such as Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Knowledge Graph technology.
- Familiarity with on premise and cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ideally, you also have:
- Experience with customizing search functionalities for enterprise clients.
- Experience in developing and deploying chat applications, ideally involving LLMs.
- A strong understanding of the applications of AI in enterprise search, including knowledge graphs, text analytics, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in the Squirro platform or similar cognitive search solutions is a plus.
