The Engineering (Tech) Team is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. While building the best value for our customers, you will work with a wide range of technical challenges. Such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 and ultra-low latencies, solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.

We’re looking for an Expert Software Engineer to work on our Digital Trust Team - responsible for developing cutting-edge fraud detection and prevention capabilities, fighting systemic risks such as Account Take Over, Scams and many more. The Digital Trust team focuses on securing digital interactions by leveraging device intelligence, behavioral biometrics, cyber threat intelligence, and network analytics in order to ascertain legitimacy and security of any digital session, being it over web or mobile.

You will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our Digital Trust solutions, which help financial institutions detect anomalies, assess risk, and protect users from digital fraud. This role requires strong technical leadership, mentoring and stellar engineering practice, and the ability to drive a team towards innovation and execution.

Your mission is to deliver the technical leadership necessary to create and maintain a highly efficient, high quality and scalable Fraud Detection and Prevention SaaS product (and the engineering organization behind it).

Your Day to Day:

Technical Management

This is the core responsibility. Provide technical leadership and vision for the Digital Trust product line, combining hands-on development with experimentation and prototyping. Ensure long-term architectural integrity while driving tactical improvements with PMs, EMs, and developers. Lead cross-cutting engineering initiatives, uphold Feedzai’s product quality standards, and act as mentor to other technical roles.

Cross-Functional Support

Partner with teams during planning (risks, designs, estimates) and align with Customer Success, Security, Sales, and Marketing to shape technical direction. Collaborate with peers and leadership to improve engineering skills and consistency across products, promoting sound methodologies and cohesive product delivery.

Hiring & Growth

Support the hiring process by shaping technical evaluation standards, and mentor engineers to become strong technical interviewers.

You Have and You Know-how:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

At least 8 years of experience in platform or DevOps teams within a SaaS environment, supporting mission-critical, large-scale systems serving high user volumes

Strong coding skills

Experience designed and publishing client-facing APIs, and enabling said APIs to development teams

Experience with web security

Experience in designing core infrastructure services to support applications (e.g. configuration management, IAM, logging, auditing, etc)

Value experience with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem

Experience with high throughput, low latency system

Attention to details and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.

Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience with Java applications

The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, and the ability to meet deadlines

Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving.

Excellent communication skills
