About this role

What will you be doing?

As a Hardware Engineer Steelwork, you are involved from the very start of a project in designing cable routing systems aboard naval ships. You take into account technical requirements such as EMC, shock loads, safety, and system availability. Together with your colleagues, you ensure an optimal and future-proof design.

Your responsibilities:

Designing and modelling cable trays and penetrations

Developing efficient and safe cable routing solutions

Taking into account navy-specific requirements such as EMC, shock and vibration resistance, redundancy, and safety

Collaborating with other disciplines within the project team

Contributing to technical documentation and progress reports

A salary between €3,800 and €5,500 per month (depending on experience)

Who are you?

You’re a technician with an eye for detail and a hands-on mindset. You enjoy designing smart solutions in complex environments and collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines.

What you bring:

A completed MBO-4 or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Maritime Technology, or similar

Experience with or interest in the design of cable support systems

Familiarity with or a willingness to learn about navy-specific requirements (EMC, safety, vibration)

A structured working approach and strong communication skills

Experience with 3D CAD design is an advantage
