The opportunity

The Ads Business Intelligence team at Unity is central to enabling data-driven decision-making, identifying new business growth opportunities, and developing impactful analytics tools. Unity operates the full-spectrum ad ecosystem, including multiple ad networks and a mediation platform – an exciting and challenging dynamic marketplace environment.

Network Analytics team focuses on unlocking insights related to ads marketplace across ad networks at scale and turning them into actionable recommendations to drive success for Unity advertisers and publishers. The team is conducting deep-dive analyses and diagnostics of trend changes to identify problems areas that can be tackled by product, engineering and machine learning teams as well as identifying the product opportunities for growth across the portfolio by developing simulation and predictive analytics tooling.

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will lead the strategic initiatives in Network Analytics and guide senior product, data science/ML, engineering, revenue and finance organizations’ leadership decision making as a subject matter expert.

What you'll be doing

Analyze complex datasets using reporting and predictive statistics to extract meaningful insights guiding senior level decision making across ads product portfolio on the topics such as product roadmap planning, financial forecasting and business policies to support Unity Ads strategy.

Define a scalable foundation and own implementation of frameworks and standards for analytics focused on network health and marketplace analytics.

Contribute to the team's strategic vision by helping to prioritize BI roadmaps tied to wider Unity Ads objectives.

Partner with the leadership across functional areas – Ads Machine Learning, Advertiser and Publisher Experience and Unity LevelPlay Mediation – to connect the dots between network performance and product changes across areas.

Requirements

  • A track record defining and delivering analytical solutions rooted in strong statistical foundations focused to deliver business outcomes
  • Strong skills at engaging and influencing stakeholders and building buy-in across functions and levels.
  • Strong bias for action. Curiosity, proactiveness and ability to decompose ambiguous problems into analytical problems.
  • Expertise in experimentation, hypothesis testing, statistical data simulations, predictive analytics using packages in Python, R or equivalent.
  • Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau or Periscope or similar. Proficiency with SQL on large data in cloud environments (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake)
  • You might also have
  • Experience in AdTech, performance marketing, mobile games industry or SaaS (marketplace) products.
  • Experience working with real-time ML systems and products
  • Experience developing internal tools for analytics and simulation including ML basics
